The awkward questions
Why are Maker and Business paid?
Because they cost money to run and took months to build, and a price is the honest way to keep them going. The calculators, the ingredient database and your saved recipes are free and stay free: they are what makes soap safe to make, and nobody should pay for that.
Will the free tier get worse?
No. Every calculator, the label maker, an unlimited recipe list and export stay free. What is sold is capability, never your own data: a free account that stops at two recipes converts almost nobody, and it holds people’s work hostage besides.
How do I get a refund?
Within 30 days of your first payment, from your account page, without asking anyone. Paddle, which handles the payments, sends the money back to the card you paid with.
What happens to my recipes if I stop paying?
Nothing. They stay, you can still open and export them, and you drop back to the free tier. Nothing is held hostage.
How does the Business trial work?
Business starts with 30 days free. Paddle takes a card at the start and charges it when the 30 days end, unless you cancel before then from your account page.
Who is Paddle?
Paddle is the company that sells soapformulator plans on our behalf, as merchant of record. It takes the payment, charges the right tax for your country and sends the receipt, which is why your card statement names Paddle.
