Bring your recipes with you
Paste a recipe from any calculator, a spreadsheet, or a forum post. You will see every line that was read and every line that was not, then open the result in the calculator. Soapee shut down in 2024 and took its users' saved recipes with it; nothing here is ever going to hold yours hostage.
Coming from another calculator? How to bring your recipes over, step by step.
From SoapCalc: paste the whole recipe summary, from “View Recipe Summary”.
From Soapee: paste “Oil Breakdown” and “Recipe Totals” from your printout or PDF.
From Mendrulandia: paste the text “Escribir fórmula” writes, all of it.

An Excel, LibreOffice, Numbers or Google Sheets file saved as .xlsx or .csv. It is read on this device, a row to a line in the box above, and goes nowhere.

Does the lye agree?
Additives
These were listed as additives, so they are not brought over as oils. Add them in the calculator after opening the recipe.
Not read
These lines looked like they might be ingredients, but had no amount we could find. Add them by hand after opening the recipe.
Coming from a particular tool
SoapCalc. Paste the whole recipe summary, from “View Recipe Summary”. The oils, the superfat, the water setting and the recipe’s name come across. Its JSON file names the oils by SoapCalc’s own numbers, so it cannot be read here.
Soapee. The site shut down on 30 April 2024. If you kept a printout, a screenshot you can retype, or an old email, paste it here — the parser is deliberately forgiving because that is the shape those recipes are in now.
SoapmakingFriend. It has no recipe export. Open the recipe page and copy it from “Recipe Totals” to the end of the oil table.
Mendrulandia. In MendruCalc, choose “Escribir fórmula” and paste the text it writes. The Spanish names and settings are read as they are.
SoapMaker 3. Its ingredient export is a spreadsheet; paste the name and quantity columns.
A spreadsheet or a notebook. Two columns, name and amount, is all this needs.
What it does not do yet
It reads oils, and the superfat, water and fragrance settings. It does not yet carry additives, colourants, fragrance blends or your notes across, and it will not invent an oil it does not recognise. Those lines are listed rather than guessed at.
Common questions
Which formats does it read?
What happens to a line it cannot match?
My old calculator said a different amount of lye.
