The 'typical' fatty acids are Table 2 of Bederska-Lojewska et al. 2021 (Molecules 26(24):7446), cranberry seed recovered from juice pomace (Hortex, Skrzynsko, Poland) and extracted with ethanol under low-temperature sonication: palmitic 5.32, stearic 0.87, oleic 20.23, eicosenoic (C20:1) 0.15, linoleic 37.43, alpha-linolenic 34.91 %. The same row also lists 1.08 % C20:4 n-6, which has no key in this schema and is therefore omitted; that omission is the whole reason the stored profile totals 98.91 % rather than the paper's 99.99 %. Myristic, palmitoleic, C20:0, C18:3 n-6 and C22:1 were reported as zero. Table 1 of the same paper: 14.52 % oil in dry seed, acid value 1.78 mg KOH/g, peroxide value 7.39 meq O2/kg. Min/max are the composition bands in the NHR Organic Oils specification (below), which contain every measured figure. ON THE '1:1:1 OMEGA-3/6/9' CLAIM usually attached to this oil: nothing in the documents checked supports it, so it is not repeated here. The measured oil is 34.9 % omega-3 (alpha-linolenic), 38.5 % omega-6 (linoleic plus the C20:4) and 20.4 % omega-9 (oleic plus eicosenoic) - omega-3 and omega-6 are indeed close to parity, which is unusual and worth having, but omega-9 is only about half of either. The producer's own bands say the same: linolenic 23-38, linoleic 30-45, oleic 20-27 %. Call it a balanced 3/6 oil with a minority of oleic. SAPONIFICATION AND IODINE: no Codex standard, pharmacopoeial monograph or journal paper opened here publishes either value for cranberry seed oil, so both fields carry a named producer's specification instead - NHR Organic Oils (Brighton, UK), 'Product Specification Organic Cranberry Seed Oil (Vaccinium macrocarpon)', cold pressed: saponification number 180-200 mg KOH/g, iodine value 140-190 g/100 g, refractive index 1.470-1.485, acid value < 5 mg KOH/g, peroxide value < 10 meq O2/kg, SFA 3.5-11 %, MUFA 20-27 %, PUFA 53-83 %. (The same sheet prints a relative density band of 0.850-0.950 g/cm3, which is far wider than any real seed oil; it is not used.) That document lists no unsaponifiable matter, and no other allowed document publishes one, so unsaponifiablePercent is null rather than guessed. For orientation, the recorded composition implies about 192 mg KOH/g by stoichiometry - near the top of the supplier's saponification band - and an iodine value near 174, comfortably inside its band. Melting point not reported (liquid oil). INCI not verified against CosIng in this session, so left null.
