Tabela 4 (pulp-oil fatty acids from four sources) and Tabela 5 (saponification, iodine, melting point, from Araujo 2008). Both tables re-read from word coordinates because the text layer is scrambled.

Dataset 'PATAUA - A SOURCE OF VEGETABLE EDIBLE OIL - NEW ALTERNATIVES' (1995; SOFA TAB_001001) used for the ranges.

This is the fruit (mesocarp) oil, an olive-like high-oleic oil. Typical values are Darnet, Silva, Rodrigues & Lins 2011 (Cienc. Tecnol. Aliment. 31(2):488-491), Table 2, patawa pulp from the Belem region: C15:0 0.3, C16:0 13.5, C16:1 0.7, C18:0 4.2, C18:1 76.8, C18:2 3.9, C18:3 trace, C20:0 0.6 (saturated 18.6, monounsaturated 77.5, polyunsaturated 3.9). The same UFPA group published Rodrigues, Darnet & Silva 2010 (J. Braz. Chem. Soc. 21(10):2000-2004), Table 2, patawa: C14:0 0.10, C15:0 0.30, C16:0 13.30, C16:1 0.70, C17:0 0.10, C18:0 4.10, C18:1 76.70, C18:2 3.90, C18:3 0.10, C20:0 0.60 (the PDF's columns for inaja and mari are shifted; all columns were re-read from word coordinates) - probably the same material, so it corroborates rather than adds a sample. The ranges also span the Embrapa/Ministry of the Environment chapter (Oliveira & Oliveira 2022), Tabela 4, pulp oil: Araujo (2008): C14:0 0.1, C16:0 20.8, C16:1 0.3, C18:0 6.4, C18:1 67.6, C18:2 3.4, C18:3 0.1, C20:0 1.1; Pesce (2009): C16:0 13.2, C16:1 0.6, C18:0 3.6, C18:1 77.7, C18:2 2.7, C18:3 0.6, C20:0 2; Meyer (2013): C16:0 13.43, C16:1 0.8, C18:0 2.9, C18:1 71.59, C18:2 4.73, C18:3 0.7; and the PlantFAdb dataset 'Pataua - a source of vegetable edible oil - new alternatives' (1995): C12:0 0.2, C14:0 0.4, C16:1 0.5, C16:0 14.9, C18:3 0.6, C18:2 3.2, C18:1 77.2, C18:0 2.8. SET ASIDE: the chapter's fourth column, Moura (2013, a Roraima dissertation): C8:0 0.08, C12:0 0.05, C14:0 0.1, C15:0 0.2, C16:0 21.1, C16:1 1.07, C17:0 0.11, C18:0 2.74, C18:1 53.49, C18:2 17.14, C18:3 0.69, C20:0 0.39. Its oleic (53.5 %) and linoleic (17.1 %) are unlike every other patawa analysis read (67.6-77.7 % and 2.7-4.73 %), and the chapter gives no reason, so it is left out of the ranges. A PlantFAdb entry of unknown publication ('Not found?', 1957) was not used. Saponification value 193.78 +/- 6.08 mg KOH/g, iodine value 76.80 +/- 4.01 g/100 g, 'ponto de fusao' 6.2 C, peroxide value 4.11 meq/kg and density 0.9129 g/cm3 (25 C) are Tabela 5 of the same chapter, credited to Araujo (2008), a UFPA master's dissertation; the chapter does not say how the melting point was measured. C15:0 (0.3 %) and C17:0 (0.1 %) have no key. Check: Darnet's profile implies about 192 mg KOH/g and about 74 g I2/100 g. CosIng lists Oenocarpus Bataua Fruit Oil (this oil) and a separate Oenocarpus Bataua Seed Oil.
