Where these numbers come from
Table 1 physicochemical characteristics of cold-pressed pulp oil from six locations (refractive index, specific gravity, peroxide value, unsaponifiable matter, saponification value, iodine value, acid value); Table 2 fatty-acid composition of the berry (pulp) oil, seven samples. PDF fetched and text-extracted locally.
Figure 1B and text: fatty-acid composition of mature pulp (soft parts) across four cultivars.
PULP (fruit-flesh) oil, the palmitoleic-rich oil, distinct from the seed oil. PRIMARY source: Pakistan Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research 2008 (PCSIR Laboratories, Peshawar), cold-pressed pulp oil of red and yellow Hippophae rhamnoides berries from six locations in northern Pakistan (Nomal, Bagrote, Ghizar, Skardu Khas, Shigar, Khaplu), n = 3 readings per sample. Table 1 (12 samples): saponification value 186.20-229.20 (yellow) and 149.5-205.0 (red) mg KOH/g; the text calls 229.20 (Bagrote) the highest and 186.20 (Skardu Khas) the lowest, i.e. it ignores the red-Khaplu value of 149.5 that is printed in the table, so the practical range is about 186-229 and the 149.5 minimum here is transcribed as printed but is probably an outlier; iodine value 60-71; unsaponifiable matter 0.6-3.60 %; acid value 8.0-13.4 mg KOH/g; refractive index 1.457-1.543; specific gravity 0.846-0.951. Table 2 (7 samples, % of fatty acids): myristic 0.11-0.31, palmitic 17.62-36.52, palmitoleic 12.41-32.41, stearic 0.51-3.44 (nd in one), oleic 21.30-37.07 (18:1 not split into delta-9 and delta-11 isomers), linoleic 5.86-12.36, linolenic 0.10-0.73, arachidic 0.10-1.42. ADDITIONAL: PLoS ONE 2012 (Canadian H. rhamnoides ssp. mongolica, four cultivars), Figure 1B mature pulp: palmitoleic 32-42, palmitic 34-41, linoleic 8-14, oleic (delta-9 only) 1-5, cis-vaccenic (18:1 delta-11) 5-7, alpha-linolenic under 2, stearic under 2 % w/w. The fatty-acid min/max in this record span both documents (upper bounds for palmitic 41, palmitoleic 42, linoleic 14 and linolenic 2 are from PLoS ONE); the oleic range is from the Pakistani data only because PLoS ONE separates vaccenic acid. Melting point not given; the oil is semi-liquid to liquid at room temperature because of its high palmitic content but no value was printed. INCI not verified on CosIng in this session, left null.
