Where these numbers come from
Specification table on the product page: acid value, saponification value, iodine value, titre, colour, fatty-acid composition limits.
Brochure PDF (uploaded 2012): AV 244-248, SAP 245-249, IV 0.5 max, titre 53-55 C for both grades. Text extracted with pdftotext.
Producer specification for Wilmar WILFARIN MA-1498 (Myristic Acid 98%): acid value 244-248 mg KOH/g, saponification value 245-249 mg KOH/g, iodine value 0.5 max (% I2 absorbed = g/100 g), titre 53-55 C, colour 0.2/2 max (Lovibond R/Y), composition C12 2 % max, C14 98 % min, C16 2 % max, others 1 % max. Free fatty acid: SAP is essentially the acid value; use directly for lye calculation. Titre 53-55 C is a solidification point, not a melting point, so meltingPointC is null. Wilmar's brochure lists the same limits for MA-1498 and the 99 % grade MA-1499. INCI and salt names are the standard CosIng entries, not re-verified on CosIng in this session.
