Table 2 (saponification value 184 mg KOH/g, range 180-191; iodine value 120 g I2/100 g, range 118-123; acid value 1.20 mg KOH/g; peroxide value 1.49 mEq O2/kg). Table 3 fatty-acid composition, mean and range across the eight cultivars.

Species: SOUR cherry, Prunus cerasus L. All values are from one open-access study of cold-pressed kernel oil from eight Polish sour cherry cultivars ('Koral', 'Lucyna', 'Montmorency', 'Naumburger', 'Wanda', 'Wigor', 'Wolynska', 'Wroble'); min/max are the across-cultivar range and 'typical' is the eight-cultivar mean as printed (Table 2 for saponification/iodine values, Table 3 for fatty acids). Cherry kernel oil is characterised by a conjugated trienoic acid, alpha-eleostearic acid (C18:3 conjugated, 9,11,13), reported at mean 9.27 % (range 8.00-15.62 %) in the same table; it is NOT included under 'linolenic' (which is alpha-linolenic C18:3 n-3 only, mean 0.19 %). The fatty-acid percentages therefore do not sum to 100 without adding eleostearic acid. Sweet cherry (Prunus avium) kernel oil was not sourced in this session (the open-access OCL 2020 paper on Moroccan P. avium varieties returned HTTP 403 to the fetch tool), so no P. avium values are included. INCI not verified on CosIng in this session, left null. Unsaponifiable matter and melting point were not reported by the source, left null.
