Huile de palme hydrogénée
Nom INCI : Hydrogenated Palm Oil.

The composition table was read from this HTML page, where the "not more than" sign is an image (images/chars/le.gif, rendered here as <=); entries carrying it are recorded as max, the others as min-max. Melting range <741> 58-62 C, acid value NMT 2.0, peroxide value NMT 5.0, unsaponifiable matter NMT 0.8 %; no saponification or iodine value. The PDF page also holds the end of the NF Palm Oil monograph, whose table pdftotext interleaves with this one. The page scan of the same monograph on the same mirror (https://www.drugfuture.com/Pharmacopoeia/usp35/PDF/1883-1884%20Hydrogenated%20Palm%20Oil.pdf) prints "Official from May 1, 2012" and the same values (its text layer carries any limit signs as U+2264, which pdftotext keeps only with -enc UTF-8).
Same Table 1 composition, melting range 58-62 C, acid value NMT 2.0, peroxide value NMT 5.0 and unsaponifiable matter NMT 0.8 % as USP 35-NF 30; the page marks the deletion of the heavy-metals test "(Official 1-Dec-2015)". No saponification or iodine value.
Printing date 28 May 2026. Iodine value max. 5,0 g I2/100g (Ph. Eur. 2.5.4); acid value max. 1,2 mg KOH/g (Ph. Eur. 2.5.1); peroxide value max. 2,0 meq O2/kg (Ph. Eur. 2.5.5); drop point 55-65 C (Ph. Eur. 2.2.17). pdftotext -layout offsets the parameter names by two rows against the method/unit/value columns; -raw keeps each name with its method and value.
Composition/specification table: iodine value (% I2 absorbed) 1 max; moisture, impurities, unsap (%) 0.2 max; melting point (C) 56 min; color (Lov, R/Y) 3R / 30Y max. The page's "Spec Sheet" pop-up was empty at retrieval.
USP 35-NF 30 NF monograph 'Hydrogenated Palm Oil' [68514-74-9]: the product obtained by refining and hydrogenating the oil obtained from the pulp of the fruit of the oil palm Elaeis guineensis Jacq.; it consists mainly of triglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids. Melting range <741>: between 58 and 62 C; acid value (Method II) not more than 2.0; peroxide value not more than 5.0; unsaponifiable matter not more than 0.8 %. Fatty acid composition (<401>), carbon-chain length / double bonds / percentage: <=12/0 <=2.5; 14/0 0.5-5.9; 16/0 32.0-47.0; 18/0 49.0-57.0; 20/0 <=1.0; 22/0 <=1.0; 16/1 <=2.5; 18/1 <=2.5; 18/2 <=0.5; 18/3 <=0.5. The '<=' signs are images (images/chars/le.gif) on the mirror's HTML page and U+2264 characters in the page-scan PDF (kept by pdftotext only with -enc UTF-8); entries carrying one are recorded as max. The PDF page (1883) also carries the end of the NF 'Palm Oil' monograph with its own, different table (e.g. 16/0 39.0-47.0, 18/1 36.0-44.0), which pdftotext interleaves with this one, so the rows were read from the HTML and checked against the -raw text. Not mapped: saturated acids of chain length 12 and shorter as a group (<=12/0), <=2.5 %, which cannot be assigned to lauric alone. The 16/1, 18/1, 18/2 and 18/3 rows are totals mapped to palmitoleic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic under the isomer rule; they include any trans and positional isomers formed in hydrogenation, and no trans share is printed. Representative total 103.7 % (limits counted at their maxima). Degree of hydrogenation: fully hydrogenated - at most 2.5 % C18:1 and 0.5 % C18:2, stearic 49.0-57.0 %. iodineValue is from Gustav Heess's specification for 'Palm oil hydrogenated SG CU-RSPO' (INCI Hydrogenated Palm Oil, CAS 68514-74-9, EINECS 271-056-3; from RSPO segregated palm oil; white fat in flakes or powder): iodine value max. 5.0 g I2/100g (Ph. Eur. 2.5.4); the same sheet gives acid value max. 1.2 mg KOH/g, peroxide value max. 2.0 meq O2/kg and drop point (Ph. Eur. 2.2.17) 55-65 C (printed with decimal commas), and no saponification value or composition. Wilmar's product page for WILFARIN HRPO (Hydrogenated Refined Palm Oil) specifies iodine value 1 max (% I2 absorbed), melting point 56 min (C), moisture, impurities and unsaponifiable together 0.2 % max and colour 3R / 30Y max (Lovibond), and no saponification value or composition. USP 38-NF 33 prints the same table and limits. sapKohMgPerG is null: neither USP edition, the Heess sheet nor the Wilmar page prints a saponification value, the drugfuture pharmacopoeia index lists only USP-NF entries for hydrogenated palm oil (no Ph. Eur./BP monograph), and the value for unhydrogenated palm oil is not borrowed. meltingPointC is the USP <741> melting range; the Heess drop point (55-65 C) and Wilmar's minimum (56 C) are consistent with it. CosIng gives the INCI name Hydrogenated Palm Oil both CAS numbers recorded here; the salt names are its entries for Sodium Hydrogenated Palmate and Potassium Hydrogenated Palmate, the salts of hydrogenated palm acid.
